About the Course

The Media and Entertainment industry is going through some remarkable transformations over the last five years. The industry is becoming increasingly ‘corporatized’. This means that large, professionally run companies, are moving aggressively into the media industry. Secondly, the industry is becoming increasingly international. Many Indian media companies now have offices and business interests abroad and we are seeing a growing number of international co-productions – media companies in different countries working together to create and distribute content.

Objective

  1. To give students an in-depth understanding of the media and entertainment industry and how the industry is managed in actual scenario.

  2. To make the students understand about the fundamentals of all forms of media.

  3. On air (radio, television, digital film) Offline (print media)

  4. On ground (events and experiential marketing) Online (digital)

  5. To offer students hands-on experience with technologies used in the entertainment industry

  6. To help students master the art of managing the different wings of media and entertainment industry effectively and profitably; surviving in the age of cut throat competition.
